Danny Lane

Carved & cast glass

Danny Lane developed an interest in the relationship between art and architecture from the early stages of his career as an artist. The interplay between these two worlds has continued to have a significant influence on his work. Initially, Lane trained as a painter and draughtsman, and drawing continues to be the backbone of his creative process as he explores lines in two and three dimensions.

Working with glass, Lane exploits the full spectrum of qualities inherent to the material, often with an innovative focus on its engineering and strength properties.
