Benoît Averly
Carved wood & natural finishes
Inspired by nature, architecture and indigenous crafts, Benoît Averly is a sculptor who intuitively hand carves wood to create organic and refined minimalist forms. Thoughtfully crafted in his studio amid the forests of central France, each piece has a strong sense of contrast that plays on the effects of light, line and texture.
Averly’s working environment is central to his practice, and by carefully sourcing the oak, ash, walnut and cherry from the forest around him, he maintains a sustainable and harmonious working practice.
