Kyung Jin Cha

Sculpted Metal Wire

Kyung-Jin Cha is an artist whose practice is intertwined with his personal and deep connection to the natural world. Cha explores the complex network of order and patterns in nature and their relationship to mathematical principles of Voronoi and Fibonacci.

The artist’s particular focus lies in the negative spaces within forms, creating empty and weightless sculptures. These pieces resemble a trace or history of a form, where light and shadow magnify the viewer’s experience.
