Insight & Expertise
With a commitment to provide our clients with concise and trusted art advice, Artelier’s principle role is to positively question the purchasing contexts within which contemporary art is presented. And through this ongoing process, we have discovered and shortlisted a rewarding community of only the most genuine and truly talented artists.
Understanding our client’s style, interests and project scheme is central to our role, as we respond to each individual and unique context – a collaborative and creative process that draws on our art market insight and comprehensive artist database to develop expertly curated and highly personalised artwork portfolios.
With over 20 years’ experience of commissioning highly bespoke and ambitious artworks, Artelier has worked closely with some of the finest artists in the world. With a deep understanding of artistic processes, techniques and materials, we direct the artistic brief and oversee the commissioning process to ensure that the creative and technical requirements of the project are achieved.
Understanding the importance of finesse in the final presentation of artworks, Artelier provides a comprehensive fine art framing consultancy and plinth design service for sculptural works. In addition, we develop specialist fixings and modifications to ensure the most secure and elegant final presentation.
Installation & Aftercare
Working with professional art handlers and technicians internationally, Artelier organises and oversees the careful and often highly technical installation of artworks. Upon successful completion, we provide an artwork handbook with an inventory of artworks and care details.
Framing & Technical Specifications
The art market offers exceptional opportunities, as long as it is navigated with diligence and comprehensive knowledge. With over 20 years’ experience within the contemporary art industry, Artelier has an exacting eye for quality and a rigorous approach to procuring authentic art.
Acknowledging the value of our extensive artistic research and endeavours, Artelier has established a comprehensive database of over 10,000 artists, which represents a global community of artists and a spectrum of artforms – all of which have met our demanding criteria for Quality, Originality, Provenance and Value.
The relationship of an artwork with its space requires careful consideration to ensure the work is of correct proportions, balanced with its surroundings, and coherent as part of a wider art collection. Artelier’s in-depth curatorial expertise initiates with the detailed review of floor plans and site visits to understand the language of space and identify key artwork locations and dimensions.
Maintaining the creative vision for the project, Artelier has a respected track record for effective and rigorous project management from concept stage through to final sign off.
