Chuck Elliott

Digital & multimedia

Elliott pushes the boundaries of contemporary drawing through his use of high-end computing systems and the latest digital drawing tools. Inspired by nature, maths, and architecture, his drawings are figured by the rhythms and beauty of number systems, and explore the basic building blocks of everything we see around us – line, light, volume and colour.

By overlapping the precision of symmetrical geometry with abstract free-flowing patterns, the artist replicates the familiarity of architectural rhythm and asymmetrical structures found within the natural world. The artworks generate an energetic and mesmerising field that draws reference to psychedelia and a culture of indulgence.
